2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with small paperthin head tha diminishes to nothing. The aroma is apples and spice. Thin mouthfeel with light apple flavor and weird aftertaste more of a pale lager than cider.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very little carbonation for an ale. Taste is very similar to a cider but lacks the syrupy nature of most ciders. First impression was not great but as the beer went on it started to grow on me. Not a bad choice for a lighter bodied cider/ale.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
12 fl oz / 355 mL bottle into pint glass.
Aroma: Sour apples. Thatís it.
Appearance: Light golden amber. Kind of like apple juice. Head is fizzy and gone instantly.
Taste: Dry, apples. Not really a crisp, green apple flavor like Angry Orchard, but a dry, kind of stale apple juice flavor. Itís not bad, itís just nothing special.
Palate: Fizzy fizzy fizzy and watery.
Overall: I dontí see what the appeal of an apple-y beer is. I know people who buy ciders because they have wheat allergies, so they canít drink this. Itís interesting. Itís really a lot like stale, fizzy Mottís apple juice. The best description I can give of this, is: Apple soda that feels like miller high life in your mouth and will give you a decent buzz after a few.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Apple juice in color-like it should be in a sippie cup. Nose has large apple notes, spiced cider notes, and tart skin. Flavor is sweet sugary apples, spice, sweet finish. Just a slight touch of apple skin tartness in the finish. Moderate high carbonation. Not horrible not amazing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle - 12 oz) Pale gold pour with a fizzy white head. Very mild carbonation. Light apple cider aroma with a very light grassy undertone. Flavor isnít quite a light pils and isnít quite apple cider but has just those light hints of both of them. Better than I thought it would be and very refreshing.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden color with no head on it. Nose has a very light crisp dry apple note to it, but the smell is weak. Taste is much like an uneventful cider. Lots of apple in there, not too sweet, and uneventful. Meh.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma was rotten apples, sulfur, hot alcohol. The flavor is green apple jolly rancher, sweet syrup. Not good. Bitter, astringent, carbonic acid. Footbalmed!

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2013 Yeah, the barrage of commercials for this during the NCAA playoffs finally sucked me in. Pint can poured into a pint glass, although I would have been just as well to drink it out of the paper bag. Pint can costs $1.50, not exactly Founderís or Three Floyds quality here. Pours a clear, fizzy yellowish amber. No head or lacing at all. Aroma of imitation apple similar to processed kids apple juice. Taste is a lot like hard apple cider with a pack worth of Sweet Tart candy in it. Extremely sugary and sweet. There is definitely a ton of sugar in this. No beer taste at all. Calling this an ale is like calling Mad Dog 20/20 wine. Palate is thin, watery, heavily carbonated. Finish is bitter but with a candy like sweetness. Overall...I dunno. I want to dislike this, but canít completely. While I think it is more of the sweet tooth talking, I like this. No way I could drink more than a pintís worth at a time without getting a sugar headache though.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reddís Apple Ale has a thin, white, fizzy head, which dies right away, no lacing, and a very bubbly, clear, golden appearance (think apple juice). The aroma is much like an inexpensive, sparkling apple wine, and the taste is the same. One does pick up the slightest shade of barley malt in this, but bitterness is nonexistent. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Reddís Apple Ale finishes crisp, fairly refreshing, and drinkable. It is more lager-like than ale-like, really. For what it is (and, thatís a style I donít particularly like), I rate it as "good" (or a "B"). If you like flavored beer, youíll probably like it. If you donít, you probably wonít be thrilled with it. RJT
