3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask - The Southampton Arms, London. Pale copper-amber body, bubbly, mostly lasting off-white head. Juicy tropical citrus fruits on the aroma. Tangerine, peach, and a warm bitter grapefruit note. A hefty, fuller mouthfeel than the typical English golden; quite hefty for the style. Soft, medium, chewy body, tongue-coating pale malt sweetness, nicely balanced & moorish with a modest, lingering finishing bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask. Euston Tap. Pour golden, clear. Nose it very citrousy. Grapefruit, lemon, some biscuit malt. Taste is big firm grapefruity citrous, and then some subtle biscuit malt, honey. Packs a hop punch but nicely balanced. Wouldn’t call this a golden ale as it’s clearly US IPA. Very good interpretation of the style.

Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky bitter finish, lingering pee, grass, mild pine, light toast. Excellent.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Supped from cask at The Craft Brewing Co., Clerkenwell. This is an almightily powerful US style IPA. Every sip is packed full of intense hops, with flowery vanilla and citrus tones. Dry as a bone with an oaky wine-like finish. Like 3 normal pale ales distilled into one. Redemption’s best beer yet... they can do no wrong!
