Supped from cask at The Craft Brewing Co., Clerkenwell. This is an almightily powerful US style IPA. Every sip is packed full of intense hops, with flowery vanilla and citrus tones. Dry as a bone with an oaky wine-like finish. Like 3 normal pale ales distilled into one. Redemption’s best beer yet... they can do no wrong!

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London. Clear gold with a filmy, white head. Cat pee and a bit of zesty citrus on the nose. Exquisite flavor, further urine notes, touches of caramel, medium sweet. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky bitter finish, lingering pee, grass, mild pine, light toast. Excellent.

On cask at Southampton Arms - August 19, 2011. Quite a hazy amber-gold, so full it’s hard to judge the head - creamy/frothy white? Quite a hoppy aroma - catty, resin, citrus - with a florally sweet grain backing, a hint of black tea. Taste is hugely bitter, citrus zest, grassy and fairly acidic/catty as well - that just buries the malt completely, and alcohol might be there, but it’s so bitter, could be up to 6%. Almost a perfect cask mouthfeel and body - solid, not thick, somewhat astringent, acidic and dry - long pithy grapefruit finish and linger, really coats the palate - lasting impression, grapefruit with grassy overtones.. Quite robust, a winner for me.

Creamy but concentrated fruit blast. Fairly busy head lasting to the bottom of the glass. A bit too much going on for any distinction amongst the medley of bitter citrus. Likely the end of the cask pouring or just a busy night, but didnt settle well. Definitely keen for re-rate, but excellent otherwise. (Cask, Bow Bar, Edinburgh (Winter Beer Fest))

Pours clear gold/orange with a thick white head with excellent lacing and is long lasting. Aroma is malt, floral hops, marmalade, orange peel. Flavour is a gentle bitterness with a long subtle sweetness. Medium bodied.

On cask at Old No.7 Bar, Barnsley. Pours golden with a white head, great aroma and a smashing blend of hops. A cracking IPA.

Cask (handpump) at the Pembury Tavern on 24 July 2011. Darkish gold colour. Collar of foam. Excellent flowery hops on the nose. More aromatic character on the palate. Firm but nettley. A top drop.

Cask air pressure at Euston Tap. Deepish golden colour with thin white head. It has a lot of tropical fruit in this beer. Wow. Really quite a hit. Just pure guava and mango. Wow. Pleasant if too cold and the condition of the beers here does leave some room for improvement. Good solid tropical fruit beer though. Arresting. Quite bitter towards the end with a touch of tea coming through. Ok. Some toffee sweetness.

Cask conditioned at The Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell, London. Gold with white head. Big hoppy beer, quite a strong perfumed note and particularly drying for the alcohol. Grapefruit comes through with a touch of passion fruit. A bit of an attack on the palate. Good.
