Amber Ale with some citrus fruit aromas, chewy biscuity malt flavours, slight sticky sweetness and grapefruit piney hop flavours. Well balanced with hop flavours to the fore and an easy bitter finish. SIBA Gold Medal winner and SIBA regional ‘Overall Champion Beer’ 2013.

2013-10-20. Hazy dark amber body with a small frothy beige head. 3+ Aroma of leafy hops and celery salt, the latter of which catches me off-guard but is still there when I come back to it, though leaning more towards actual celery. Flavour is mild, moderate bitterness throughout, leafy earthy hop character. Average bodied palate, mild carbonation. Not really to my own tastes. Session 3, Cask Days 2013, Toronto

Cask at wetherspoons. Pours an amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel, grass, lemon. Light body, a bit thin. A bit of toast, some caramel with bitter citrus on the finish. Quite dry. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Half pint at the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Copper coloured with a fair head. Tasty, dry and hoppy. Smells of grapefruit. Smooth. Decent but not earth-shattering.

LCBF. Brown/orange, no real head. Smells of syrupy British hops, malty. Body and carbonation are medium. Taste - not a whole lot going on, some toffee, a little astringent.

Cask at the Horseshoe NW3. A deep amber coloured bitter. This is a very good bitter, with a firm malty character and some bitter hop in the finish. Complex and tasty.

Cask @ CPK. Deep amber orange color with a creamy, thick white head. This is an attractive beer. The nose is light hoppy honey. Some orange rind. Syrupy citrus. The taste is wonderfully light sun-kissed hop, citrus and more orange. Honey breakfast cereal malts ballast the delicate floral notes. Light body, very crisp and smooth. Soft carbonation. Great.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 13/04/2012. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, citrus hop and fruity malt aroma. Flavour had some more sweet malts, marmalade and a hoppy, bitter finish. Excellent.

Cask in Southampton Arms. Colour is clear light chestnut brown. Nose is citrus, spicy malt, nicely fragrant. Taste is citrous hop, light caramel malt, light body. Malt tends to dominate, but there’s some nice hop character. Finish is little bit of bitter citrous.

Cask. Frothy white fair mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Really nice.
