3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at The Rake.
Clear amber colour. Woody and rich juicy hop nose. Grapefruity IPA-hop character with grape and pine in the flavour with semi-sweet body. Bitterness comes early and is really balanced and lingering. A rich, hoppy bitter. I’m amazed and surprised.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at The White Horse on Parson’s Green - August 9, 2011. Slightly hazy light amber pour with a smallish diminishing off-white frothy cask head. A few things vying for attention in both aroma and taste - grassy bitterness, honey, a hint of graham cracker, and some alcohol - nothing comes to the fore, and ultimately it seems more than a bit jumbled .... light-bodied, somewhat still, some grassy pungency in the finish, but also a vague harshness that builds a bit as it warms. Pretty meh - not bad, but not .... memorable.

Cask, handpump at The White Horse, Parsons Green, London, 05.08.11 Pours wonderful copper colour with a filmy white rim of bubbles for a head. Soft in mouth, hops are not too pushy, tiny bit soapy, tiny bit warm, but otherwise a very pleasant beer. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear amber beer. Residual suddy white head. Light dry palate. Nice fresh hops. Piney fruit, grassy. Light semi dry finish. Really nicely hopped and tasty for it’s abv. That’s the good stuff done with. Now if I could rate on beer names this would get a zero. I nearly choked when someone explained this was a Tottenham beer. So distraught I was that the bar tender refunded me!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Rake. It pours slight hazy amber, with a thin foamy off-white head and low carbonation. The nose is fresh pine, orange, metal, dust, farmyard and a little sweet caramel. The taste is metal, lemon, grapefruit, lime, pine and grass, with a dry finish. Not bad, but not exciting either.

Gravity, Northamptonshire BF 2011, 27/05/11. Dusty bronze with a slim bubbled lid. OJ, faint greenery aroma. Good chalky rose notes, peach, honeyed biscuits. Low bitterness Leaning into peachy US IPA territory. Well made, just not my ting.
