I support the idea of making a pale ale for casual session drinking and refreshment. However, Audible didn’t end up being that beer for me. To me, it tasted woefully undeveloped and weak. The hops seem to be nothing more than an afterthought. They make a faint appearance in the aroma and add a bit of spice to the finish but that’s all you get. For me, I don’t care how smooth and refreshing a beer is if the taste isn’t worth a damn. That’s exactly what happens here. Audible Ale seems to be a half-assed effort from a brewery that should know better.

Red Hook Audible Ale has a rather thin, off-white head, a hazy, golden appearance, and some splotchy, thin lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, but one can detect fruit (apricots?), white bread, and some sugar. Taste is of those elements, with some minimal, pineapple-like bitterness. Mouthfeel is light, and Red Hook Audible Ale finishes semi-dry, easy going, and refreshing. This beer is dull and boring, sad to say. Nothing bad about it, though. RJT

26.01.2014 12 FL OZ. Spesialbutikken Vaaland, Bryne. Golden orange colour with white head. Lively carbonated. Started pouring out if the bottle when I opened it. Aroma dominated by grassy hops. Fresh and sharp flavours of hops. Good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

35,5 cl bottle @ home. Bottled on 22.11.2013
Aroma is fruity and hoppy with some caramel tones. Flavour has fruity hops, some biscuits and caramel. Solid and refreshing APA. Perhaps slightly watery though.

12 ounce bottle, very very cool unique shaped bottle, decent hoppy aroma, slightly skunky hops taste, not my favorite beer but good for Dan Patrick having his own beer on top of everything else he is good at

TET (1751) - FINLAND - JAN 24, 2014
A dark yellow beer with a weak and blond head. Fruitfull and slightly tropical aroma, but unfortunately, too mild, mangos and some caramelly malts. Taste of toffee, only hint of mangos, mild bitterness. The end is slightly wooden and musty. Medium- bodied, low carbonation. Overally not very convincing beer, the fruits were also disappeared somewhere during the journey.
