12oz bottle. Pours a fizzy yellow with small cream colored head. Somewhat grainy aroma with a bit of fruitiness. Some hoppiness in the flavor but mostly grainy and malty. Slight bitter finish. Boring- the fact that this is sessionable is the only thing that it has going for it, but in that case youíre better off with Founders All Day IPA.

It poured a golden color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of faint pale malts and grains. The taste was bready, floral and a background of citrus. Just ok.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Goldeny amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, caramelly, a bit bready with some slight toffee as well. Flavour is toffee, caramel, fruits and some floral notes. Pleasant and refreshing brew, which at the same time is very wellbalanced.

I support the idea of making a pale ale for casual session drinking and refreshment. However, Audible didnít end up being that beer for me. To me, it tasted woefully undeveloped and weak. The hops seem to be nothing more than an afterthought. They make a faint appearance in the aroma and add a bit of spice to the finish but thatís all you get. For me, I donít care how smooth and refreshing a beer is if the taste isnít worth a damn. Thatís exactly what happens here. Audible Ale seems to be a half-assed effort from a brewery that should know better.

Red Hook Audible Ale has a rather thin, off-white head, a hazy, golden appearance, and some splotchy, thin lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, but one can detect fruit (apricots?), white bread, and some sugar. Taste is of those elements, with some minimal, pineapple-like bitterness. Mouthfeel is light, and Red Hook Audible Ale finishes semi-dry, easy going, and refreshing. This beer is dull and boring, sad to say. Nothing bad about it, though. RJT
