Pours a very dark brown. A pretty solid porter with lots of roasty malts, but lacking when it comes to body.

On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a thin black to brown, caramel soda sort of color. Empty malt, light roast and toast, caramel. Low carbonation, thin and roasty. Coffee and roast. Dull and lackluster. Long sad toast and roast finish.

12oz bottle from Liquor Loft. Black pour with a thin khaki head. Aroma of nuts, caramel and brown sugar. Thin palate. Tastes are roasted malts with a metallic vibe.

On tap at Redhook (Portsmouth). Has a nice black color with a tan head. This beer is super smooth and malty. It was more refreshing than I imagined. There is a very slight hop taste in the finish, Good porter

On tap at Portsmouth location. Dark pour with frothy head and some lacing. Because this was one of the standard offerings, I expected a pedestrian effort, it being Redhook and all. The aroma was virtually nonexistent, but the flavor was a pretty rich roasty flavor with smooth chocolate undertones. Pretty dry in the mouth, buty still flavorful. Not outstanding but a solid effort.

Quite the old logo RB has up for the Black Hook...Iíve only had this a few times, and from what I remember, itís not all that bad for a larger brewed beer. May try it again at some point...

Draft at woodinville pub. Pours dark brown little tan head. Aroma of nut, coffee and pine. Balanced with huge toasty finish. Solid drinkable and even better on nitro.

Pours almost black, no light to be seen. No head at all. A bit of a light roast aroma. Surprising fizzy mouthfeel. Not special, I expected more.
