3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a dark ruby brown with a medium cremy light tan head that diminishes quickly leaving behind decent lacing on the glass. The aroma is a fruity malt with raisin and light roast. Thin mouthfeel with a bitter taste with light coffee and chocolate. Easy to drink, a good porter from Redhook.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from 3 Sons. Nice version, with a little smoke, some caramel and nuts if just a little too much carbonation. Deep brown , no lacing and not much head.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. A dark reddish brown color pour with a short offwhite head, medium carbonation. Aroma of coffee, rasins , and light chocolate with hints of roast.
Flavor is roasty, with some chocolate and a bit of coffee , maybe a hint of hops . Thin body with a slightly oily mouthfeel , very sessionable . I find this to be one of the better offerings Iíve had from Redhook but as Porter goes itís nothing I would deem as special.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
For someone who has had a good amount of porters and tried most of the best stouts in the world, this offering from Red Hook was disappointing to say the least. The aroma was of faint coffee and the pour was a pathetically small stripe of dark brown. An opaque body saves this brew for being one for the dog bowl. After drinking this watered down porter, my advice to Red Hook is to find another H20 source or use some gypsum!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is rather nutty, and malty. Flavor is, for a porter, rather bland. Eh, not bad, but probably wonít buy again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Average sized, off-white head that diminished fairly quickly. Good lacing and a clear, deep amber brown body. An initial heavy, roasty maltyness accompanied by alcohol. A very slight bit of herbal hop aroma. The flavor consists of toasted and roasty malts with a faint touch of chocolate. A lingering smoky burnt flavor that is not unpleasant. The flavor thankfully does not exhibit any of the alcohol that was present in the aroma. A nice hop bitterness that keeps the beer from tasting too sweet. The mouthfeel is creamy, but light. Average carbonation. In sum, the beer has a nice balance of hop bitterness to malt sweetness and a good, but not very interesting flavor profile. Overall a nice, easy drinking porter, but nothing special.
