Redhook Blonde combines the best attributes of a flavorful golden ale with the refreshing qualities of a lager. The ale is brewed with three different malts and two hop varietals. Lightly roasted barley and a touch of wheat, combined with an ample portion of hops, creates a truly crowd pleasing beer . Redhook Blonde pairs well with medium flavored foods such as fish, nachos or salad. Available year round.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance had a golden blonde color with a one finger white bubbly and somewhat foamy white head. There was some light lacing that slid into the beer. The smell had a light sweet corn, light citrus and a piney hops to it. The taste followed the nose. On the palate, this one sat pretty light and came across pretty sessionable. Overall, decent to good blonde ale I could see maybe possibly having again depending upon what else was there.

8/17/2011. From bottle. Pale yellow with a white head. Corn, malt and hay aromas. Little going on in terms of flavors. Light hops, watery and just boring.

Another beer I had awhile back but apparently forgot to rate. A ho-hum beer (like so many redhook beers to me).

Not great but not horrible. Aroma and flavor is very mild. Not very complex and a bit watery. Just boring.

Pours a pale bubbly yellow with aroma of hops mixed with a slight sweetness of fruit. Taste is slightly sour with a hint of hops that dissapates after the swallow. Overall a decent blonde golden ale with no complexity.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a deep gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of light citrus and a little bready wheat. Taste is lightly bitter. Medium-light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing I would seek out but I would drink it again.

Clear golden color, some carbonation, very small head, light lacing. Grain and biscuity malts, with a bit of hops giving a dry finish.

Tasted bottle from mix pack into standard pint glass. Poured a clear, light golden color with fluffy white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. Aroma of grass, toast, distant noble hops, very faint roasted barley and even fainter fruity yeast phenols. Flavor is almost entirely neutral, but hints of malt-sweetness, hops bitterness, and just a little apricot. This isnít a spicy Belgian blond ale, and itís not a crisp, clean lager either. Itís something in between; not bad but kind of bland and boring. Still drinkable and relatively refreshing, would be good with rich food.
