COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redhook Blonde combines the best attributes of a flavorful golden ale with the refreshing qualities of a lager. The ale is brewed with three different malts and two hop varietals. Lightly roasted barley and a touch of wheat, combined with an ample portion of hops, creates a truly crowd pleasing beer . Redhook Blonde pairs well with medium flavored foods such as fish, nachos or salad. Available year round.

12oz bottle: Pours a crystal clear honeyed gold with a nice white cap. The nose is typical blonde, a nice dose of honey and grain but little else. The body is better as a moderate dose of lemony hops hit the tongue to balance the caramel sweetness. Drinks easy and is nicely balanced.

bottle - Pours clear gold with a thin white head. The aroma is mainly pale malt. The flavor is of pale, bready malt with a hint of hops. It’s light bodied and mild though fortunately it’s not too terribly watery. It’s rather bland as this style usually tends to be, but not too bad overall.

draught at New York Penn station of all places. fairly refreshing blonde ale, with balanced flavour and slight hop aroma, but nowhere near enough hop flavour.

A blonde ale with blonde color. Refreshing. Light bodied and mild hops. Same catagory as Blue Moon and Sunset Wheat without the strong flavoring of orange and corriander. Good ale to start with.

A macho macro...Looks like Bud tastes better but not a lot. Modest head, some lacing. Well balanced but hops are very mild. No bad attributes, if you are a fan of blonde ales this could be just the ticket. Too mild in every way for me.

Pours a gold color with a white head. Aroma is of caramel malts, grass, and some slight floral aroma. Flavor is of toasted and caramel malts, grass, and just a slight hint of a bitter finish from the floral hops.

bottled: a plain ale, not much that is unique about this one, but much better than any A-B beer i’ve ever had.

Pours a slightly hazy gold due to yeast sediment. Has a small white head. Aroma is sweet with malt. Has a sweet taste as well with notes of honey, caramel and bread. Little hop presence. A decent session ale.
