COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redhook Blonde combines the best attributes of a flavorful golden ale with the refreshing qualities of a lager. The ale is brewed with three different malts and two hop varietals. Lightly roasted barley and a touch of wheat, combined with an ample portion of hops, creates a truly crowd pleasing beer . Redhook Blonde pairs well with medium flavored foods such as fish, nachos or salad. Available year round.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma is funky though not sweet, or bitter. Smells earthy, and of corn, wheat, grains, and peanuts. Poured golden in color with a small white head that diminished. No lacing. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is slightly malty though not sweet or bitter. Tastes of malt, corn, wheat, and peanuts. Pretty poor flavor. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. No finish really. Overall, expensive Bud.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2004 Bottle pours a translucent yellow with a fine bubbly frothy white head. I am somewhat amazed at the amount of head and lacing of this brew. Slight hints of sweetened straw and grains. Mouthfeel has a bit of malty chewiness, somewhat wheat like. The hops are very subtle. I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. Great for a summer day.

JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 23, 2004
Deep golden color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of pale grain, both floral and somewhat citric hops and light creamed corn (DMS). Off sweet malt flavors, not earthy, not grainy, just plain off. Dry and uneventful finish.

Bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is light caramel and floral. Medium body. Light malt flavor with caramel and floral notes. Not bad but rather boring.

This brew poured a medium sized head of off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing and a hazy light yellow orange brown colored softly carbonated body. It has a mild malt hop aroma. The mouthfeel is crisp and bubbly in the start with a mild tingly finish. The flavor is a medium strength malt hop one and is very refreshing. A very good choice for our dinner this evening.

Aroma - barely there - but it is fresh. Nice cloudy appearnce, thick creamy head, good lacing. Starts off with a bit-o-honey taste to it and then the hoppiness takes over in a pleasant and subtle way. Excellent mouthfeel - coats your mouth - thick.

At first glance, I wonder why all the really low marks; a decent looking beer, light orange and vaguely cloudy with a full creamy slow-diminishing head. Then I smell it; grainy but in a stale, rice/corn sort of way, and not at all sweet. Flavor actually is sweet and somewhat malty, a bit better than the nose lets on, but certainly nothing special. Finishes with, well, basically no finish at all. Ends is more like it. Yeah, probably the weakest beer from this mediocre pseudo-micro; best consumed a 6-pack at a time after a really good beer or two.

They tried serving this with an orange wedge on my glass. Poured a golden color with a small white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of honey. Flavor was fairly close to the aroma. Semi-dry with a light bitterness on the finish.
