COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The distinctive India Pale Ale style was developed by British brewers in the 1700s in order to create a sturdy beer that could survive long sea journeys to far-flung colonies where troops eagerly awaited the arrival of this sublime liquid refreshment. Long Hammer takes the traditional IPA brewing process one step further by dry hopping, or adding hops at the end of the brewing process with Cascade hops to give a wonderful hop aroma but not the overpowering hop taste. Long Hammer IPA is the beer you find yourself reaching for again and again, no matter what the occasion. Long Hammer pairs nicely with grilled meats, seafood, Mexican, Indian, Thai or other spicy ethnic foods. Available year round.

Pours straw with a white head. Faint nose of citrus. Very bland, with a slight note of citrus. Very easily drinkable but lacks in aroma and depth. A decent brew for quenching your thirst.

Pours two fingers white head, straw blond color. Smell is pretty tame, a bit of citrus. Taste is watery, more bland than bitter. Crisp. I guess the drinkability would be the best part of this beer.

Nice, semi-sessionable (?) IPA. Nothing crazy going on, but nothing bad, and that’s good. Mandarin oranges and yellow grapefruit. Nose is kind of weak, but an enjoyable IPA.

(Bottle) Pours golden. The aroma is light citric hoppy and light toasted malty. The flavour is light sweet and light to medium bitter with tones of citrus, flowers, spices and toast. The mouthfeel is light watery with a medium carbonation. Light to medium bodied.

Pale copper-blonde pour into thick white pillowy head that slowly dissipates into melting lacing and a pool of foam. Aroma of piney hops, sweet citrus, and caramel malt. Initial flavor of sweet malt that fades into a slightly bitter hoppy finish.

Poured yellow slightly cloudy with a small off-white head; Fruity aroma; Medium hoppiness with citrus overtones; slightly bitter with long after taste. A decent IPA for those of us who like them a little less strong.
