A: The beer isn’t exactly copper, but it is a pale amber-orange color with a finger of white head.
S: Sort of a bland nose consisting primarily of toffee and bread. A bit of a cracker character to it. Some floral and earthy hop notes with a touch of yeast.
T: Sweet malt with a slight yeasty twang. Earthy and grassy hops with a light floral quality and a mild bitterness. Some toffee and bread, some toasted malts to it as well.
M: Light to medium in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: Not really my favorite and it doesn’t have much that I look for in an amber.

Draft at Craft. Hazy dark straw/copper pour with nose of caramel malt, mild hops, fruit. Tastes of bready caramel malt, not terribly complex, with some fruity and mild hops, but not much palate heft. Meh.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel and peach with other fruity notes. Taste is elementary school fruit cocktail... syrupy pineapple and apricot with light caramel. Medium bodied.

Bottle@ukulele freakout BBQ, the jungle, Kaua’i, 21/08/12. Er, copper with a well behaved several-finger bloom of foam. Soapy cherry, sweet hay aroma. Pretty flavourless with hints of nothing, old rusty metal, marzipan, stale boiled sweets. A dull beer to accompany a pretty exotic experience.

I’m liking these unique Redhook 12oz bottles. It pours out clear copper with gold hues and thin off white head. The mild aroma emits some sweet malts that border on being sweet date like as well as a bit of biscuit, a bit of floral hops and a sense of minerals. The taste is sweet with malts and then gets a bit sweet with apple and prune like fruity esters. Between these notes is a floral hop and lager yeast like quality (yes, ale with a lager like aspect) with a wafer thin biscuit malt like sensation. Easy drinkin’ but is a tad on the sweet side for my taste . . . just a tad.
