Mixed 12-pack of bottles from grocery store. Definitely copper in color. Minimal aroma, "neutral". Taste is almost sweet with a light finish. Not my favorite Red Hook product.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass and a mug at different times and there was barely any difference between the two glasses. The appearance was a nice hazy but clear amber color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated gently into the beer leaving some light slightly clingy lacing. The smell had some light sweet caramel malts. The taste took those malts and added a gentle crisp hop bitterness. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat smooth. Overall, not a bad beer just not generally a go to for me.

The body has a dark golden almost coppery color with good clarity. On top an aggressive pour produced a tall foamy white head. It has good retention and makes some sticky lacing on the glass. There is a sweet candy like malts with notes of brown sugar and some herbal hops of in the distance. It has a candy like character with hints of caramel, brown sugar and white bread. Hop bitterness is mild and adds some spicy/herbal notes to the mix. The hops come out a little more towards the finish and give some more balance to the sweet malt up front. It has a medium body, soft carbonation and a smooth texture.

Appearance: no surprise, it is a copper colored ale. Pours about a 1 1/2" head that dissipates rapidly leaving moderate lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aroma: mild aroma, smell of toasted grains and sweet malt Mouthfeel: mouthfeel is watery and carbonated. Sweetness predominates but there is some mild hop to balance it. Finish is semi-dry. Flavor: flavor is consistent throughout with a blend of malt and hops. Overall: I really enjoy Copperhook and recommend it if you like session ales, Copper/Red ales, or if your palate runs more towards malt than hops.

355ml bottle. Pretty standard fare, this. Went down easy, pleasant taste, refreshing. Much like their pils, this was a good mealtime table beverage, rather than a sensory experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Starts tasty and finishes to weakness. Easily drinkable in the heat, but there are better options. I Luke the variety pack as a crowd friendly mix/match. Good, but far from great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. This is a pretty generic amber ale without a lot going for it. Fine for partys and cookouts.

Pours a decent medium amber I wouldn’t call it copper. Aroma is that of cooked tomatoes barely registers and aroma. Taste has a slight bubblegum aspect if you really cycle some air through it while in your mouth. All around almost flavourless with a hint of bitter aftertaste... but not much. Fades to nothing after swallowing. Overall would be good to chug after a hard days work. Nothing offensive, but nothing worth praise either.

Crisp refreshing and clean amber ale that really does go well with some crab legs fresh off the ocean.

Light Copper Color, Slight Head, No Lacing. Lightly malty and hoppy. Seems to be too carbonated and has some weird taste. Tried a couple of bottles on a couple of different occasions. It was hard to drink and did not enjoy it. Pass it...

Malty, lightly toasted, caramel, and crisp hop bitterness. Easy going but uneventful. Decent slugging beer.
