MrRain (317), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Apr 23, 2008 12oz bottle poured into a shaker. RCSA pours... you guessed it... copper-colored! It has a medium-sized head that lasts longer than I would have expected but doesn’t really leave much lacing. This beer has an incredibly strong strawberry chewing gum aroma. I don’t really know whether that is good or bad but since this isn’t a strawberry beer I’ll knock a few points off. Maybe it is anticipation but the flavor has a very faint strawberry flavor as well. Other than that it has a malty, green leafy vegetation flavor that is neither good nor bad. The after taste is a bit bitter, unpleasant and lingering.
lithy (370), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 23, 2008 Light golden orange-brown color with a thin off white head that dissipates quickly to nothing. Caramel and toasted malt aroma. Body is more toasted malt, caramel and sort of citrusy, good bitter finish. nqualls (547), Tennessee, USA Sep 16, 2008 Too thin. Beer feels like a summer brew. Citrus flavor with a bitter finish. Okay brew, but out of place. smjohnst (175), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 2, 2008 This beer had more of a summer ale kind of too light flavor to it than a spring beer. In flavor it tasted quite similar to their blonde ale. Swalden28 (684), McKinney, Texas, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottle, Market Street in McKinney, TX.
Pours a very slight hazy orange with white head, minimal retention. Aroma of light caramel and faint floral. Has a nice small caramel flavor, slightly sweet, some citris, nice small bitter. Mouthfeel is light-medium with high carbonation...Over all not bad at all.... BlockBrew (105), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Jul 16, 2008 Really nice light orange color. White head which fades quickly. Smells like citrus, not much hop aroma. Hop bitterness at the back, with a very similar palate to some of Redhook’s other brews.
