355mL. Pours clear amber. Medium off white soapy head. Soapy retention. Nose is sweet cherry and spices. Dog food comes through. Taste is soapy and very bland, tangy, lemon heavy, detergent. Palate is chemical heavy. Worse than the pilsner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Starts tasty and finishes to weakness. Easily drinkable in the heat, but there are better options. I Luke the variety pack as a crowd friendly mix/match. Good, but far from great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. This is a pretty generic amber ale without a lot going for it. Fine for partys and cookouts.

Pours a decent medium amber I wouldn’t call it copper. Aroma is that of cooked tomatoes barely registers and aroma. Taste has a slight bubblegum aspect if you really cycle some air through it while in your mouth. All around almost flavourless with a hint of bitter aftertaste... but not much. Fades to nothing after swallowing. Overall would be good to chug after a hard days work. Nothing offensive, but nothing worth praise either.

Crisp refreshing and clean amber ale that really does go well with some crab legs fresh off the ocean.

Light Copper Color, Slight Head, No Lacing. Lightly malty and hoppy. Seems to be too carbonated and has some weird taste. Tried a couple of bottles on a couple of different occasions. It was hard to drink and did not enjoy it. Pass it...

Malty, lightly toasted, caramel, and crisp hop bitterness. Easy going but uneventful. Decent slugging beer.

12oz bottle. Clear pour, small bubbly persistent head. LIght honey color. Kind of ugly. Light, hay aroma. Very light taste, not too much in it. A little fizzy, just enough taste to be acceptable. Light body, little aftertaste.

Pours murky, dark yellow with a small, off-white head. Scent is lightly fruited, caramel. Taste is malty, berry flavour.....raspberry/blueberry....slightly bitter, chalky berry aspects. My rate seems to be a bit anomalous compared to others, but, that’s what I’m tasting...anyway, I think it’s pretty good....light, fruity, lively.

Mixed 12-pack of bottles from grocery store. Definitely copper in color. Minimal aroma, "neutral". Taste is almost sweet with a light finish. Not my favorite Red Hook product.

Bottle in mix pack. Just not doing it for me. I can’t find the ESB anywhere anymore, and besides the longhammer, that’s my choice from these guys.
