2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Clear gold, lightly effervescent with a short white head. Quiet nose when cold opens up into sourdough bread, cement mix, creamed corn / DMS... the lemon balm hop notes and the minerally sulphur and phosphorus and basement must is almost tolerable but it turns into a "moldy" smell in short time. Light body, sour, sweet, grainy, carbonation is a little coarse. Butter and DMS in a bitter finish.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, fully diminishing.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), lightly hoppy (flowers, apricot), with light notes of cement and DMS.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, husky, slightly unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
A husky, crude example. It gets worse than this for sure, but there’s not much enjoyable about it. And no, you would never think this was from Czech Rep (or Germany) in a blind tasting.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving from a bottle. How can I only be the 2nd person to rate this? Medium carbonation and gold color. Dry malt and some saaz hops. The saaz gives it an extra flavor and aroma kick that other pilsner styles lack, and this makes it a decent session beer.
