COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redhook ESB is modeled after the premium Extra Special Bitters found in English pubs. Brewed since 1987, this full-bodied amber ale is Redhook’s signature brew with its toasted malt flavor and pleasant finishing sweetness. Its eminently drinkable style has established Redhook ESB as a benchmark brew in the amber ale category. The well-rounded finish of Redhook ESB makes it a wonderful companion to grilled meats. It is also great with game and cheeses. Available year round.

Bottle @ Cockney Pub beer tasting, 24th October 2013. Moderate malty and light hops in the aroma. Some caramel too. White fizzy head. Not lasting. The colour is amber with some red tones. Has a moderate bitter taste and is a (very) little sour. Not my type of beer.

Bottle. Surprisingly bought in Ireland whilst on holiday in October 2013. Orange with a small heas and clear appearance. Fruity with a gentle bitterness. Not a lot of body for is reasonably high strength. Pleasant but nothing outstanding.

I like the new bullet-like bottle style they have this coming in, but the old label is far superior. Pours gold with a tint of amber and a thin white head. Smell is faintly fruity and taste is nothing special. All right for a few with the boys.

Couleur ambrée avec un col moyenne blanc. L’arôme de malt et houblon. D’abord le goût est de malt, suivi par une finale d’houblon, mais mois amer que habitude pour le style. Il est aussi un peu sucré.
