2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled (according to the label) less than a month prior to this review. Very retentive head and lacing. There is something in that aroma that I just canít figure out. Reminds me ever so slightly of human solid waste (no joke). Good amber color. Very crisp and dry mouthfeel, light to medium body. There is no sweetness to this ale, no maltiness. If a bitter is supposed to be "balanced", this isnít. Hops are very evident, but not overpowering. I donít dislike this at all. It is a different experience than most beers Iíve had.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Btl pours a hazy dull, pale amber color. Big,thick, soapy off white head that vanished quickly leaving bits of lace on glass. Smells fruity, with a hint of breadiness,a bit of earth and minerals. Tastes of sweet caramel, bread and a touch of herbal hops. Smooth almost watery mouthfeel, average carbonation, light body and a soft, slightly bitter finish. This is a decent beer that is easy to swallow. Unfortunately this beer is nothing special, just an average offering. Boring!!!!

Sample from bottle at Vecturamesse. Brown colour, Some caramel in aroma and flavour. The flavour is otherwise too bland for an ESB, with too moderate hops. Will re-rate when I get a full bottle.

If adequacy were the measure of a beer, this one would be perfect. It smells right, looks right, and tastes right. However, it isnít special in any way. It doesnít excite. It doesnít impress. It just is a decent, drinkable beer.

Bitter di stampo americano sentori caramellati e speziati con un buon equilibrio tra amaro e beverinità.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice golden amber with 2 finger head. Aroma of malt, and a bit of pine. Flavor matches aroma, low bitterness and sweet. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Kind of watery and flavor doesnít linger.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
355 ml bottle. Sunrise orange, quite clear, with a small off white head which dissipated almost immediately like a soda. On the nose soapy/old American hops, quite a bit of caramel, slightly earthy/woody, a hint of orange peel, light mint gum note in the background. Taste pretty much follow suite, moderately fruity, more sweet than bitter, slightly astringent. Caramel malts in the background. A bit too watery and bland in the finish. Average carbonation, light to medium body, slightly creamy texture. It seems more like an old and sweet malty IPA than a proper English bitter, but itís not that bad overall.

Gravity at GBBF 2014. Poured amber, with no head. Aroma of malt, caramel and some herbal notes. Toffee sweetness in the flavour, with honey and grain. Finish was straw, mango and hay.
