Balancef and easy to drink.

it tastes a little bitter, but then, it’s supposed to. very smooth for a "bitter" beer, great strong flavor, not bad aftertast. had it out of a keg just the other day.

A test piece for the use of specialty malts! Small head, fine-bubbled, lacy, mostly receding. A very appealing deep reddish-amber in color. Unoffensive aroma of honey, with caramel/crystal malts. Sweet, malty flavor, medium/low bitterness, same wonderful specialty malt presence, much like Deschutes Jubelale. Great full mouthfeel, aided by the very persistent carbonation. Overall, a very fine effort that could benefit from a hair of additional bitterness.
Interestingly, I was surpised how good the beer tasted on tap. My previous experiences with the bottled variety have been less inspiring.

This beer is very solid for the price. Golden orange with minimal head. The toasted flavor is well rounded with bitter undertones.

A solid ale. Taste is wonderful and doesn’t linger. Just bitter enough to be a respectable English ale.

Very sessionable beer. Great balance and taste. Can’t wait to drink a few more.

Great beer for casual drinking. Not an overwhelming taste sensation but very well balanced in such a way so as to cause no beer drinking fatigue.

This is my first ESB so I am by no means an expert but it had a nice copper color with a decent head at first. Hoppy taste but it goes down smooth.

Surprised this beer was rated so low. I really enjoy it -- nice, easy-drinking session beer. A little citrusy, almost more like a pale ale than a standard ESB. Nice, sweet, caramelly finish. One reviewer said it reminded him of tea, which is pretty spot-on.

Full aroma of malts, cake, butterscotch, leather, fresh leaves. Good start. Shiny golden and filtered body; little foam there. Not a crazy amount of carbonation but it gets the flavour all around still. Medium bitterness yet balanced in the aftertaste. Great drink on its own but probably even better with freshly-spiced food.
