blackmurder (164), sadf, Hawaii, USA May 14, 2008 good cheap Esb. Not much more to say, Poured honey amber with a tint of fluffy white head. Tasted a bit metallic but not too bad. LOL LOL LOL
pkbites (257), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 5, 2008 Mine poured a very cloudy copper with a head that bolted almost instantly. Nose was of malt, bakery, and caramel, but it also had notes of salt and chlorine pool water! What the fuck? Thick mouth feel, like melted caramel. Moderate bitterness. Decent after-taste lingered on the ol’ taste buds a good long time. The strangest ESB I’ve ever had, to tell you the truth. nbutler11 (208), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 3, 2008 Pours a copper color from the bottle with a trim white head and plenty of carbonation. Smells of skunky yeast and tastes of balanced malts, orange peel, and bitter hops. A tasty ESB. Fruitfly (53), , Pennsylvania, USA Oct 1, 2008 Hazy copper with small fine head. I need to pull pretty hard to get much aroma but the smell is a relatively pleasant sweetness of light caramel malts. Little in the way of hops to round out the rather light beer. Dry finish doesn’t have enough clear hop range to really impress. forrestjohnson (2), , Washington, USA does not count Sep 29, 2008 One of the best beers redhook has to offer, sweet taste, not too bitter, nice fruity/honey aroma, very nice to drink in quantity. blipp (809), Grand Island, New York, USA Sep 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Caramel/honey aroma with trace hops. The flavor is rather bland, but it is well balanced. Caramel, fruity esters and hops. Nice enough.
