[tap @ Woodstock fest] Amber in color. Grassy hop aroma, with some slight malt present. Slightly sweet malts blend with grassy, herbal hops. Finishes kind of sweet, less bitter.

bottle - About what my expectations dictated -- fairly mild compared to my favorite IPA’s. Simply an easy drinking ale with just enough bitterness to keep things interesting.

Bottle pours golden color with a frothy head and the glass laces nicely. The aroma is a bit malty with a touch of sourness. The tastes is almost a balance of malt and hops with the hops winning out in the finish. Not as dry as many other IPA’s. I recall this beer being more bitter in previous tastings. Decent , but nothing earthshattering.

Heavily carbonated orange yellow color with minimal head. Citrus hop nose with a faint creamy citrus taste. Bitter hop finish.

Gold color with a medium head. Aroma and taste are both moderate hits of pine and floral hops. Finishes fairly dry. Not spectacular, but certainly a solid drinker.

I remember trying this back in the early 90s when it was Ballard Bitter. Today, it pours a hazy orange gold brew with a light off-white head. Long lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is citrus peel, some sweet malt and flowery sweet hops. Taste is lightly carbonated creamy and sweet. The finish is flat and missing the hop bite that most IPAs I am used to. A nice bitter brew but a weak IPA.

Draught @ Flying Saucer Little Rock 5-2-07. Hazy orange, smallish head. Aroma is of floral hops, somewhat British smelling. Flavor is moderately bitter, with some nice citrusy hop flavors going on. Finishes dry. Decent IPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a small off-white head. Light hoppy fruity aroma. Crisp taste with lightly bitter finish. Decent.
