This isn’t a bad beer but my score reflects the fact that I am not a big IPA fan to begin with. Nice initial taste but a harsh aftertaste that kinda ruins it.

pours a clear golde with frothy head and long lacing. aroma is herbal with an orange accent. taste starts malty and finishes hoppy as it should. decent but average for an ipa.

Bottle. Medium golden colored beer, crystal clear, with an off white head, mostly diminishing. Herbal hop aroma with some underlying malt sweetness. Flavor is malty up front with a little bit of hoppy bitterness to round it out. Rounded medium body. Decent beer.

Draught. Golden, slightly hazyt with bubbly white head that laced the glass. Piney hop nose with proinent bitterness and subtle grainy aftertaste. Decent beer.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2006 Lighter clear golden color with a small white head. Nice hoppy herbal aroma. Hoppy and somewhat biscuity flavor. Mildly soapy flavor, but not in an offensive way. Smooth body. Not bad, not great.

Rather lagerish pour - translucent gold with a firm head. The nose is played down and rather ’beery’ smelling. Some fruity hops blend with a bit of sweet malts, but both are used sparingly. The body displays more hop presence - grassy and sweet with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Average among other IPAs, but an easy drinker that would rate better in a Pale Ale category. I would definitely pick this up in a pinch.

A pretty gold on the pour. Citrusy & floral on the nose. Decent malt taste backwashed with a mouthful of hops. Nevertheless, mouthfeel is too mild and beer seems weak & watery.

12 Oz. Bottle, bought at Goebel’s Liquor Store. Decent head, somewhat good lacing on the glass. At first, to my somewhat untrained nose, it smelled very much like most domestic light lagers, but after a second, the smell becomes very sweet, with a slight pine needle aroma. The taste hit me by suprise, being slightly bitter, with a much smoother aftertaste though. If you like IPAs, there’s a good chance this wouldn’t be a bad choice, despite anything negative I wrote.
