0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 RooftopRogue (423) - Champaign, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2006
This beer produces a strong hops aroma that dissipates into the smell of cut wet grass as the beer mingles with the air. It is an amber colored solution that produces a huge head. This beer is very watery and thin. It offers such a mild grain taste it leaves you wondering if you just drank beer or colored water.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HogTownHarry (4809) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2006
Bottle (12oz). Poured clear slightly oily bright gold with an average white creamy head. Aroma of evergreen hops, mild acetone malt - almost the same as their Winterhook, actually, maybe a touch of honey sweetness. Taste follows nose, a little more bitter, longish almost harshly bitter finish - mouthfeel astringent, a little sticky. Not bad, average IPA, more evergreen than citrus.

Light head soft lacing, hoppy a bit hoppier than most IPA’s maybe. But no distinct bitter or standout tones. Just a IPA no show stopper here.
