Nice bitter IPA from red hook. Gloabors are hoppy and sour. Interesting mix of flavors. Pours light gold with a medium head.

Blaaahhh. That about does it people. Thanks for your time. (smells great, tastes like fart-liquid)

I agree that this is a "safe" IPA, in that it’s easy to drink, and not overwhelming. But, to me it could use a little more flavor. It’s good, but average.

Not too keen on IPA. The aroma is up there, strong but not overwhelming. After taste is bitter, kind of off putting at first. I found it to be dry.

Red Hook makes one of the safest IPAs for me. There’s a great, surprisingly sweet hop taste without the excess bitterness.

Average aroma, but the flavor really brought it out for me, maybe it is because I have always had this on tap. Poured crisp and clean every time, with a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste.

This light amber ale poured with a thin off-white head and a floral aroma. The flavor is thin - slightly malty with a bitter and dry hoppy finish.

Feb. 2007 - "Ballard Bitter IPA" - Poured cloudy brownish yellow, next to no head and light lacing. Aroma was of citrusy hops. This one is pure hopwater...citrusy flavors and very little malt. Not overly bitter, a tad weak. Nothing "wrong" with it...just a run of the mill, slightly below average IPA. Dull.
