Pours clear amber with a thin white head that has decent retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Mellow aroma of hops and spice. Light-bodied with a mildly floral hops character. Light spices and malt are present too. The finish is not very bitter and it is on the dry side. Passable IPA that doesnt bother much being interesting.

Hazy gold/amber colour. Quite hopy, as one might expect, but not as extreme as many US IPAs. The hops are herbal rather than the typical US sweet resin, so the beer comes over as quite dry. A pleasant drop. Cask, GBBF 2004.

Bottle. Sweet orange and hops aroma. Yellow amber color with small head. Blended lightly sweet orange and moderate hops. Finish could be stronger.

Ibrew2or3 (6767) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 17, 2007
Poured clear deep gold with thin bright white head. It has a crisp hoppy aroma of tangelo to grapefruit with sweet malts in the background. Hey, this is a tasty IPA. I get a grapefruit hop bitterness mixed with floral hints. Behind that is a mild roasted maltiness or maybe even some rye that plays nicely against the hops.

Cletus (6354) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 25, 2006
Pours copper with a white head. Smells of pine, citrus and soap. Tastes watery with a mellow malty profile and some bitterness, but a far cry from a good IPA.

This light amber ale poured with a thin off-white head and a floral aroma. The flavor is thin - slightly malty with a bitter and dry hoppy finish.

Bottle pours a nice orange hued yellow, head is of small fizzy bubbles. Constant stream of carbonation rises from the bottom. Lacing seems respectable. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Taste reveals a real lack of hop bite. Initially you get some bitterness (not hopiness), but it quickly fades. Very mellow for an IPA. Perhaps some ashtray on the finish. Looked the part, but didn't come through. This would make a better Pale Ale.

Ernest (6143) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 10, 2003
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear dark yellow. Aroma is lightly hoppy (resin), moderately yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Aromatically, it's overly yeasty and not really that hoppy. Flavor balance is ok, but too citric for my tastes, and way too yeasty.

Bottle. Yellow colour with a small white head. Malty, fresh hops aroma and a sweet malty, light floral hoppy, citrus taste. Medium body with a dry finish.

Draft at the Woodinville brewpub. Crystal clear medium amber with light but opaque white head. White sugar and cat litter nose. Cardboardy, sugary attack and mid-palate. Light body, soft carb. No finish. Company says "its cat litter in a glass."
