A lighter, drier ale with a warm, brassy color and herbal aroma.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2006 Nice dark golden color. Good flavor with intermediary bite. One of the more common India’s in my area. I would bet this stuff is wicked on tap.The one thing I don’t like about it though is the nasty after taste.

I enjoy Red Hook beers and this IPA is no exception. Nice golden color; not as hoppy as I would want in an IPA; mild bitter taste. I will definitely drink more, though.

Pours a golden straw color with a pure white head very little carbonation present in the glass, smells good n hoppy, hint of citrus in both the nose and the flavorbut not overly sour like some american IPAs tend to be. Crisp clean mouth feel and a nice tang that lingers for just long enough to make you want another sip.

Golden color. Nice floral aroma. A little weak bodied and not too exciting. Perhaps a little too light, but a fairly goo IPA nonetheless.

It pours with a nice orange to amber color with a light creamy head. However, the use of the IPA label is only that. Its aroma and taste were small on the hops let alone close to the expectations one would have for a beer labeled as an IPA. It tasted more like a typically hopped ale.

Nothing really wrong with this version of IPA. On tap at the brewery it’s dandy. I buy it in bottles when on sale and enjoy it thoroughly.

Gold with a reddish hue. Floral, hop smell. Spring herbal flavor as it first hits the palate and then turning to a bitter hop flavor but not as hoppy as an IPA should be IMHO. Light and a bit watery with a dry after taste. Overall a very average IPA without much character.

Ratings might be a bit off, I drank this with a very spicy stew. The flavor was good, but lacked the mouth feel some better pale ales have.

IPA’s are not to my liking, but I’ll drink it if I’m in town. Gotta support the local brews.
