An IPA from Redhook sounds like a potential killer beer. The beer however fails mainly on not capturing an exciting taste. The color is a nice golden orange, with a larger than small head (if that makes sense to you all), and has nice small bubbles. The aroma is fruity more than hoppy. The flavor is lacking the main indegredent of an IPA, hops. This is the beers downfall. It does not rival other west and north west beers on any hop standard. I was sad b/c I love the Redhook ESB. I recommend you try for the sake of trying and then buying some sierra nevada or stone ipa.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2015 Exactly what you think of when you go into a craft brewery and ask for their ipa. Light crisp. Hops but not overly hoppy. Balanced. Bottle

A mild aroma of citrus and hops. Pale amber color not much head. A pleasant balanced taste with just a touch of bitterness. A short lasting slightly bitter palate.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a orange-copper cloudy body with a small white head, no lacing. The smell was hoppy, floral with some grassiness and lemon notes. The taste had strong hops, yet still some spices come out as the beer warms. The palate was about a medium, sessionable, strong hoppy grassy finish, no aftertaste. Overall, this was a pretty good AIPA, Id have this again.

Una buona birra luppolata. Manca un po di corpo, al primo impatto in bocca non convince ma poi il retrogusto luppolato piacevole anche se non molto bilanciato.
