daknole (852), Plantation, Florida, USA Oct 10, 2008 Bottle from total wine. Crystal clear amber pour with a decent sized whitish head. Aroma is very malty with some hints of toast, crackers and grains. Flavor is pretty nice actually. Smooth and malty without being too malty. Hops are barely present. Better than I expected. GJF (241), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Oct 9, 2008 Not great. Not bad. Sweet aroma with a touch of toasted grain. Caramel and apple in the flavor with a spritzy finish. No hop to speak of. A little too spritzy for me. fatguys (57), USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a foamy head that lingers well. The taste is dominated by toasted malts. This wasn’t as hoppy as I expected, but it’s very warm and tasty. If you’re looking for an amber without a lot of hops bite, this would be a good choice. CaryTheDude (282), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 7, 2008 Nice appearance definitely. Some hops in the finish. But otherwise, not much to offer. blankboy (2625), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 7, 2008 Bottle (12oz). Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size diminishing fizzy off-white head. Mild aroma of caramel malt, fruit, toasted grain, some earthiness and sweetness -- it’s all very mild and subtle though. Mild, slightly watery flavour of caramel malt, toasted grain, sweet fruit, a bit of spices and a very light bitter finish. Some light, sweet candy-like flavour mixed in there too -- not unpleasant, just a little odd. Average bodied. It’s alright, it’s not bad but it’s nothing special, just a decent Amber-like beer.
