joekfsu (138), Boardman, Ohio, USA Sep 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours amber with a 3 cm off white foamy head that is mostly diminishing. Aroma of gingerbread and spice. Initial flavor of sweet malt and wheat. Flavor ends dry and clean. Light to medium body, moderate lacing, light on alcohol, and short on aftertaste. Overall a decent beer and worth a shot since it should be available just about everywhere. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Sep 4, 2008 33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND. Deep amber colour, light tan head that clings to the glass. Pronounced hop aroma with nice malt mellowness. Sharp at the back of the tongue, warming and spicy finish. Quite nice. kidmartinek (972), austin, Texas, USA Sep 3, 2008 Pours deep amber with a red tint. 1 inch ehad settles to a film in no time. Heavy lace rings. Aroma of dough, malt, and a little spice. Flavor is bland spicy malt and crystal, mineral water. Mouth feel is cold and runny and finish is hoppy bitter, and has a quick bite. The aroma, flavor and finish remind me of the fall season successfully. pj1855 (154), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Sep 3, 2008 Pours a clear amber color with a decent sized off white head that doesn’t last. Fairly good lacing. Very sweet caramel aroma that hits your nose as soon as you open the bottle. Starts off sweet with a slightly bitter lemony finish. Gmoney (250), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA Sep 1, 2008 bottle.. deep copper pour, medium off white head ,excellent lacing.sweet caramel /roasted malt aroma .roasted and caramel malt ,nutty and some spice flavors. little thin ,hops are slight but earthy Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Sep 1, 2008 8/8/08 On draught at the Woodinville Brewery. Aroma is sweet malt forward with light roast and heavy caramel sweetness. Appearance is light copper with a moderate maintained cream colored head. Flavor is a fairly even noble hop/bready malt balance with a dominating sweetness that quickly dissipates and sourness that lingers into the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slightly sour tang and medium carb bite. Overall, well balanced, but even the very slight sourness is a bit detracting. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Aug 31, 2008 pours a nice copper amber with a medium off white head.
Aroma is very light.
caramel malt. light toasty malt.
Flavour is even lighter than the aroma. Roasted biscuit maltiness. Very light bitterness in the finish.
Clean and drinkable, though a little light for my taste. NDbeerdrinker (164), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 31, 2008 Pours a reddish amber color with about a 1 finger white head. Aroma is great...sweet, caramel, and roasted malts. Taste is a step down from the aroma, with the same qualities on a lesser scale. Taste is a bit watered down compared to the smell, but still pretty good. Pretty good seasonal ale.
