Bottle from Party Source. Pours a clear copper with an average rocky white head that mostly lasting and produced good lacing. Good toasted malt aroma. Medium body. Good well balanced malt and hop flavor with a medium bittersweet of moderate duration.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, toasted grains and a touch of caramel. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and toasted malts.

Copper color with a thin head. Slightly spicy hop aroma. The grain is a bit soured, but otherwise tastes like very fresh grain. Not sure how they managed that mix. Did not pick up any of the smoke or caramel they mentioned. An okay session.

9/29/07: Bottle.
Amber bodied. Not much head or lace. Caramel malt aroma and flavor. Flavor is also a bit nutty – hops also present.

Bottle. Medium foamy head that quickly disappears. No aroma. Rich copper color that leads you to believe there will be a rich taste. The palate is stale hops paired with a slight metallic aftertaste. Fortunately it goes down smooth.

($1.49 at Total Wine in Kennesaw, GA) Appearance: Pours a clear, dark amber body with a thin, off-white head. Smell: Fairly faint aroma of toasted grains with a bit of caramel and spice. Hint of apple. Taste: Thin nutty malt flavor with the taste of crushed up saltines. Light sweetness. Spicy hop flavor. Slight metallic taste on the spicy, tart finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Certainly not one I’d repeat. Really falls short of other beers of the season.

This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.
