| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear, dark copper with a bit of white head. It smelled like caramel and barley malts with light copper hops. It tasted like earthy barley malt mixed with roasted toffee and a bit of copper hops. It was slightly thick with a bit of carbonation, and had a bittersweet aftertaste. Overall this did not have a super clean or bold flavor. WakeandBake (427), Greenville, Michigan, USA

A clear amber pour with a thin white head.Aroma of toasated caramel, warm bread, and faint spice like maybe nutmeg.Flavor is sort of a smooth nutty roasted caramel, rye bread, and very faint pimpkin, a small spicy hop finish.Feels pretty good in the mouth. Drinkable. I am suprised this was rated so low. mrant (330), New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Smells of rich, sweet dark malts with lots of caramel notes. Taste is well-balanced dark malts and bitter/sour hops. Not bad, but expected something a little darker, a little less hops. Tasty Radek Kliber (3942), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2008 This reddish orange ale poured with a fluffy off-white head and a caramel aroma. The flavor is heavy roasted malt with a raspy bitter finish. talon1117 (620), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 29, 2008 Pours a sparkling clear, orangey color with a fairly small, off-white, and fizzy head which is mostly diminishing and leaves minimal lace. Nose is faint with typical Saaz spice, faint toasted caramel, and hints at other spices (nutmeg?). Flavor is akward with the spicy and lightly rustic hop notes clashing with the light, rich caramel; other notes of light toasted breads and faint nuttiness. Palate is light to medium, lively, and thin. Finishes short with the moderately light bitterness lingering beyond the caramel sweetness. The hops and the malts do not match whic is a shame because the malt base could have been good. Not the best from RH.
