There is very nice lacing and excellent head retention also. The nose is rather faint but I do pick up a dosing of spices. Typical autumn beer spices nutmeg, all spice and such, giving it that pumpkin pie aroma with a little hops at the end. Flavor is a little expected but not bad. It is a nice malty red ale with a dash of the above spices. There is no over powering spice profile going on like you get with most autumn or pumpkin beers. Just a little underlying flavor that plays off the base beer. Very nice and sessionable. The mouth isn’t too heavy but it has enough to suit. Good sesonal. zach8270 (2085), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is light and hoppy with some citrus and a light nutty note. Flavor is smooth and a bit nutty at the beginning with a nice blend of light hops and flowers. Some citrus near the end that has a slight malt sweetness. Aftertaste is a bit bitter and lasts for a few minutes. haddon90 (1035), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

Great flow. A hint of caramel with the malt. Nice balance. One of the better autumn ales I’’ve had. satan165 (566), River Grove, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Bottle from BevMo in Natomas, CA. Copper color with a slight whitish head. Rather roasted malt aroma. Medium body with creamish carbonation. Flavor is spiced malt. You could sell this as a pumpkin ale. Like pumpkin is tasteless - right? It’s all about the spice. These are really spicey noble hops. (Ok, they may not meet strict geographic requirements) A real surprise. It’s very fresh and clean. Almost deserves a new category. Not one of those droopy ambers. Really stands up and stands out. Crafty07 (392), Florence, Kentucky, USA

Very sessionable. Enjoy doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA

Smells subdued malty, caramelly sweet with some dishtowel as well. Tastes exactly the same as it smells with a lingering dishwater finish. Not a very good beer. Medium body, ok carbonation.
