thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Oct 19, 2008 Nice auburn color. Sweet malty aroma. Favor had a nice bit of roasted maltiness, but definitely more hops than I was expecting. Good good balance. I approve. Solid brew. TheCaptain (526), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 17, 2008 Another sample at the KSBF 08- Beer poured a light orange copper with white head. Light pallet with a bread and weak grain presence. Fizzy and a hop dryness, in the end bland and watery. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Oct 15, 2008
Tap @ Tacomac, johns creek. clear copper color, light tan creamy looking head. . Flavor is like a lightly spiced fall seasonal attempt of a pumpkin/autumn brew. Light aroma of toasted malts, even lighter hops. It’s your basic amber ale. 2,4,3,4,9 Iamjake (5), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA does not count Oct 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours rich amber with a smallish tan head. Aroma is heavy on grain and sweet fruit. Taste is lightly acidic and rather sweet with a lightly bitter finish. Overall not a bad beer for the early fall season. I think it will quickly lose it’s appeal once the outside temp drops below 70 though. Ernest (4481), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cookie, caramel, grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, apricot), with a light note of peach.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Reasonably pleasant (if simple) aroma, but marred by a somewhat dirty aftertaste (much as with Sam Adams beers). Ehh. Reid (1085), Salem, Oregon, USA Oct 12, 2008 Slightly hazy dark copper ale, lovelly eggshell white head..kinda thick and chunky.
Aromas are mainlly slightly toasted malts.
The taste again is quite nicely toffee type maltiness, then semi sweet, earthy, a little hop near the end to balace the thing up..and i also get a touch of pleasing smoke at the back of the throat.
Good smooth palte.
Overall..I have to go against the grain and say this is a rather nice ,satisfying amber for the season. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Name: Late Harvest

daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Oct 10, 2008 Bottle from total wine. Crystal clear amber pour with a decent sized whitish head. Aroma is very malty with some hints of toast, crackers and grains. Flavor is pretty nice actually. Smooth and malty without being too malty. Hops are barely present. Better than I expected.
