Bottle - Poured a darkish amber in color with a small whitish head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma is medium of citrus hops and some sweet maltiness. Flavor is citrus hoppy with a substantial amount of malt. Some esteriness in the finish. A little thin. OK, but not great...

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured a light orangey color ale with a small foamy head with average retention. Aroma of citrusy hops is quite pleasant. Taste is also dominated by some citrusy hops with some very subtle notes of malt. Body is slightly thin with some medium to low carbonation. Interesting and better then expected.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, into a tulip. Perfect hoppy aroma, with a dark gold color and complex hoppy, bitter, and somewhat sweet flavor. Soft Slightly above average palate. I like it.

3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This has more or less become a new staple beer. It has replaced Sweetwater IPA for biological reasons. There is a nice hop flavor combined with a few other subtlties such as citrus and nutmeg. We’ll see how long this stays on my staple list.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle: Pours a lightly murky golden/copper color with a soapy white head that lingers for a while. Aroma has a nice floral hop aroma with grapefruit and pine needles coming to the forefront. No discernable malt characteristics but the citrus fruit packs a punch in the aroma. Taste is a bright bitter hop texture with a mild lingering bitterness into the palate. In my opinion, This beer is too one dimensional for an IPA. It’s good and I would get it again but just not the cream of the crop.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Corn and lemon peel aroma. Amber color, thick white head. Bitter barley taste with a touch of grapefruit. Very grainy. Not very representative of an IPA, but not too bad. It’s what I would expect if you mixed a bitter, an helles, and a pale ale. It does have character.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
A nice try by Redhook of marrying the hops and malt together, however the beer needs more hops, in my opinion. The malt tends to cover the hops in the finish. Ths wasn’t bad tasting, but I believe there was too much malt and not enough hops. As I continued drinking it, I started getting a real syrupy mouthfeel which wasn’t that pleasant. I don’t think I would buy this again.
