3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nose is bread, biscuit with a little orange and mango. Taste is lightly bitter, with lots and lots of pine, a little butter scotch and malt. The finish is lastingly bitter. Mouthfeel is light.
A really surprising beer, it’s not an American IPA at all, but a traditional English IPA with the pine and alcohol strength turned up. It’s nice enough. Bottle is lovely.

A pint at dan kellys in minneapolis. Pretty bland ipa. Not much flavor or hops.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
35cl bottle. Clear orange with a good white head, good lasting and lacing. Aroma is malt, some honey, hops provide orange, pine. Taste is citric, pine with a right bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Like it, a good ipa, good nose and taste, not too hoppy and not boring. I approve: an every day ipa.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Good looking bottle design. As always at Red Hook. Nearly like a unclear Pils in the glass. Hop and a lot of citrus in the nose. Starts with herb grapefruit, hop and honey in the background. A little bit spicy. Low malt in the aftertaste. Okay, easy to drink, but not an IPA Hammer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from either Glug, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne or Berlin Bier Shop, my memory fails me! Very bright and hoppy is this, with some juicy lime and tropical fruit elements. There’s a pine bitterness underpinning things and I get wafts of fairy liquid from the aroma at points. Quite enjoyed this. Nice bottle shape too.

I love this IPA. This beer to me is like a good friend or a loyal dog. A really good ale flavor plus the right amount of hops. Long hammer has a very satisfying flavor. Just a good mouth full of IPA from beginning to end. Not a pallet wrecker. Not a hop freak show. A good all day IPA (better than Founders). Session!
