The distinctive India Pale Ale style was developed by British brewers in the 1700s in order to create a sturdy beer that could survive long sea journeys to far-flung colonies where troops eagerly awaited the arrival of this sublime liquid refreshment. Long Hammer takes the traditional IPA brewing process one step further by dry hopping, or adding hops at the end of the brewing process with Cascade hops to give a wonderful hop aroma but not the overpowering hop taste. Long Hammer IPA is the beer you find yourself reaching for again and again, no matter what the occasion. Long Hammer pairs nicely with grilled meats, seafood, Mexican, Indian, Thai or other spicy ethnic foods. Available year round.

[Köpenhamns ölfestival 2014] Det här var inte så dumt, smaken var försiktig men ändå fruktig. Kroppen var okej och balansen behövde inte skämmas för att hänga i julgranen.

I thought maybe I had an old bottle or something. Then I looked up the rating and I guess this is just what this beer is - not very good. Pale yellow body, white head some lacing, looks okay. Faint grain and a touch of pine aroma. Taste is kind of watery, with a touch of bitterness. Disappointing.

Nice, smooth easy drinking IPA. Tad of sweetness. Bit of bitterness. Hoppiness well balanced. Solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden pour with white head. Aroma has dried mango, cereals, light citrus. Flavour has a boring malt profile with a bitter finish. Pine, grass, touch of citrus.

0.3 bottle found at supermarket. Pours clear gold with two inches of white head. Grassy and citric hops aroma. Hop bitterness characterize the first sip, followed by sweet honey malt and cream in the final. Bitter and herbal aftertaste. Thin body, lively carbonation.

Pours a golden color with a tight white head leaving little lacing. Metallic and hop nose. Mild hoppy flavor with malty finish, notes of caramel. Overall a very good session beer, can drink this all day (and often do) for the price this is a great beer.

Clear golden color. Quite metallic aroma but with clear notes of hops and citrus as well. There is unfortunately some metallic notes in the taste as well but also lot’s of grape, lime and grass. Decent bitter finish.

Thanks iNBe. Ah takes me back to the early days of microbrews when this would have been considered incredibly hoppy. It is a shame the rating is so low, I think it suffers from that today you can get IPAs that taste like you squeezed the hop in to your glass just before serving. This tastes more like the English version. Serving: Can
