1.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
I was long of the opinion that Pac NW ales were generally overhopped.. this was before I really got into IPAs, now I think I might have been wrong. I havent had RedHook Long Hammer IPA in forever and what I find is a very light, mild IPA that is much more of a light Pale Ale than an IPA. It is light in color, has a nice citrus and straw aroma but has very little distinct hop taste. It will fool you with its 6.5% alcohol content because you cant taste it! If you would like an IPA that you can drink a bunch of with no lingering traditional IPA bitterness then this is for you. If you want a tasty lip smacking IPA, why not try one of Stone’s IPAs.

Good but not great IPA. I'd have it again, but there are many others I'd grab for first (e.g., Dogfish 60 Minute).

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dorata con una bella schiuma anche se evanescente. Al naso aromi citrici e fruttati, in bocca è pulita e va giù che è una meraviglia. Amaro non troppo acuto. Veramente buona.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A decent and drinkable IPA. Pours a bronze yellow color with good lacing. Smells fresh and pleasant of hoppy citrus and resin. Taste is the same, strong piney citrusy hops with toasted malt balance, standard for the style. Nice grapefruity finish is the highlight. Overall a stereotypical West coast IPA, a little on the milder intensity side. Gains points for being easy drinking, but loses points for being generic and indistinctive. I do still recommend this brew and Red Hook brewing overall.

A hazy orange yellow beer with minimal white head. The aroma is toasty grain and light citrus. The flavor is bready, citrus, and piney.

Classica ipa leggermente fruttata agrumata al naso. Con note erbacee e un gusto amaro molto amabile.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours light orange/yellow, with a huge white head. Noticeable hoppiness in the aroma. Lovely, hoppy, bitter taste, with some citrus hints. Underrated.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 02 Jun 2014. Thanks, Shri.
A clear light orange with a dense white head that falls off leaving no lacing, this looks OK. The nose is dominated by cascade hops, grapefruity, chalky, pithy and with some candied citrus. Bitterness is noticeable. A little bit of crystal malt and cotton candy are present. The palate opens with a surprising bitterness, pungent, clean, resiny with grapefruit, pine, orange peel and a little floral character. The mid palate has a mild honey sweetness, a little cotton candy and a little dough. Drying and bitter on the finish, this beer is medium light in body and crisply carbonated. Quite decent.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear brew with a light golden colour. fairly muted aroma with some corn mash or cereal like quality. Medium bodied brew, fast finish, lacks hoppy character. English styled brew and disappointing.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear light golden with a fair white head. Grassy. A little skunky. Earth. Grapefruit. Moderate malty. Moderate bitterness. Semi dry. Peppery. Not bad, but this didn’t hit the spot for me.
