COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The distinctive India Pale Ale style was developed by British brewers in the 1700s in order to create a sturdy beer that could survive long sea journeys to far-flung colonies where troops eagerly awaited the arrival of this sublime liquid refreshment. Long Hammer takes the traditional IPA brewing process one step further by dry hopping, or adding hops at the end of the brewing process with Cascade hops to give a wonderful hop aroma but not the overpowering hop taste. Long Hammer IPA is the beer you find yourself reaching for again and again, no matter what the occasion. Long Hammer pairs nicely with grilled meats, seafood, Mexican, Indian, Thai or other spicy ethnic foods. Available year round.

This may become the only beer I drink from now on. I’m having a hard time understand some of these lower ratings. Please do yourself a favor a try this meticulously crafted masterpiece of an IPA: you will not be disappointed!

I really like this beer. It has a definitive taste, unlike many beers that I have sampled. Definite floral tones. Pours orange with a persistent white and foamy head.

Reminds me of a beer crafted by Bell’s Brewery from Michigan, a magical brew called Two-Hearted Ale. This is about the closest I have found in the PNW!

Absolutely delicious IPA. It is pretty hoppy, but not overwhelmingly. The aftertaste is toasty and doughy. I’m a Washingtonian and I’m proud this brew is local (anheuser busch does own 32% of the stock). Anyways I recommend this brew to any person who enjoys good quality beer.

Cask at GBBF at the ladyboy table. Alround rating: Excellent balance, lychee, grapefruit, a solid IPA, excellent hop character and super dirnkable. Im monumentally suprized by a score this low, perhaps the bottles are pasturised?

The ipa has been lost in the myriad of imperial double triple mega brews of this hour. A decent ipa with a mellow aroma and taste. Not over hopped, nor overly malty. It is a good example of a basic ipa.

Bottle, into a tulip. Perfect hoppy aroma, with a dark gold color and complex hoppy, bitter, and somewhat sweet flavor. Soft Slightly above average palate. I like it.

Dazzling golden-yellow color. Very very hazy. One finger of puffy white head. Looks summery but we’ll just see about that. Some nice lace. Excellent woody hop smell. Combination of woody with a hint of flowers. It’s sweet and doesn’t try too hard to woo this old hophead. Really unexpectedly good. Balanced pale malt Good balance of pale malt flavor vs the nice piney hop. It’s sweet at first and then bitter at the end. Really a nice IPA that doesn’t overdo the hops. Good thickness, creamy and a tad bouncy but not too bubbly. A really nice pale, woody IPA. And a good value.
