jeffwilliams11 (253), hooterville, Michigan, USA May 11, 2008 pretty average ipa. not too high bitterness, fairly well balanced, easy drinker.
DrDavid (187), , Vermont, USA Sep 2, 2008 (Bottle). Citrusy aroma. Light orange color with almost no head. Flavor has the IPA citrus tang, and some hops bitterness and malt background, but everything is muted and overly restrained. Not bad really, just not enough. probstk (673), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2008 Sampled at Flour City Brewers’ Fest, Rochester NY. AU15/08.
App.: Clear deep golden, fair white froth.
Aroma: Strong fresh hopes – citrus and pine, leafy, light malts.
Palate: Medium body, sparse but sharp carbonation.
Flav.: Very fresh leafy hops that is almost savoury, some fruitiness; dry with fair bitterness.
Didn’t love the hop flavours. rayOfBeer (231), El Cerrito, California, USA Aug 31, 2008 Poured from tap an orange-amber with a small off-white head. Aroma was a muddled aged floral hop, toast, and wet cardboard. Flavor followed with a slightly bigger floral hop presence, a somewhat malty body and a lingering dry bitter finish. Overall tastes like it could have been a nice hoppy IPA but had aged and oxidized slightly letting in some off flavors and toning down the better hop aromas and flavors. I think I’d skip over this one on most occasions. Rynoplasty (200), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Aug 30, 2008 Pours a pale, cloudy golden brown with a small off white head. Aroma is hoppy, and the taste is citrusy, pine like hops as well but not as strong as most IPA’s. Definitely not the best IPA I have had but it isn’t bad. OldRaspy (274), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 29, 2008 Poured from the 12oz bottle amber in color with an off-white head. aroma is of piney hops. Flavor a slight malt with the same piney hops with a bitter hop finish.
