Mudslinger is a Nut Brown Ale with a Medium body and a fresh aroma. Its malty flavor is layered with light chocolate, caramel, brown sugar and a hint of vanilla. Six barley malts and two hop varieties result in a surprisingly smooth, well balanced dark beer. Mudslinger pairs nicely with grilled meats, stews, fowl, and even smoked oysters or salmon. Available on the West Coast from January through April.

3/9/11. 12oz bottle. Muddy, nut brown pour with a nutty brown head that muds away. Light nutty aroma that is slightly mud-dled. Nutty flavor that seems a bit metallic and dirty... but it’s wet, so I guess that’s... mud?

Lots of cocoa in this one. I The finish is slightly sweet, very low bitterness. Just a middle of the road nut brown.

Aroma is very light and of nuts and malt. Pours very clear coppery brown with thin off white head but plenty of lacing. Taste is a very nice malt showcase. Carmel and roasted nuts clearly present. Long finish. Lightly sweet. Medium bodied. Very limited floral hop character. This was very enjoyable brew.

Pours a transparent walnut into the glass, with a small soda head that diminishes to light lace. The nose is light, of yeast, malts and some nuts. The flavor is much like the nose, very light and not substantive, with a seltzery mouthfeel. Some malt and nuts come forth, with a burnt toasty finish. Light hopping balances out the brew, albeit again thin and fizzy. Nothing special, but a warm weather brew for mowing the lawn, I guess.
