argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Jun 1, 2003 Small beige head atop a ruby body. Aroma is fairly sweet, and malty -- nutty and slightly roasty. Taste is nutty and moderately sweet, hint of roastiness toward the back of the throat. Also some floral hops. Medium bodied, with less-than-usual carbonation. Not a bad beer, but my description seems like it should make me like it more than I do. fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Apr 5, 2003 Keg
Brown color, with a persistent creamy layer. Very light aroma. Ordinary flavor, a bit nutty. CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 24, 2003 On tap: Medium brown color with a creamy head. Pleasantly sweet with some sour notes. Good roasted nutty profile, but could have a little more balance. hopscotch (4678), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jan 25, 2004 Crystal clear ale. Color of a freshly-minted penny. Small, creamy, beige head.
Malty, nutty nose and flavor. Toffee, caramel and chocolate. Well-balanced, but a tad thin. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Short, clean, lightly bitter finish. Great session beer.
