Out of Your Gourd Pumpkin Porter is dark chestnut brown in color and is made with pureed pumpkin. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger are added to the whirlpool and maple syrup is added during fermentation. Lightly hopped with Northern Brewer hops, Pumpkin Porter is a full-bodied, rich and roasty porter perfect for all things fall – eating turkey, watching football or drinking with your buddies around a bonfire.

The aroma is firmly cinnamon and nutmeg with a solid black pour supporting an off-white head and moderate lacing. The taste is confusing at first, but pumpkin, cinniamin and nutmeg appear in the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall, enjoyable, but more of a pumpkin beer than a porter.

I thought it was fine. The pumpkin and Porter flavors fight eachother to a standstill or neutral flavor.

12oz bottle. Aroma is some sweet pumpkin with some dark malt. Raw cinnamon as well. Appearance is very dark brown with a Ta. Colored head. Taste is a dry, dark malt flavor with a raw pumpkin taste with some spice towards the end. Palate is dry with some dark malt and a mild spice flavor left over. Overall, a decent pumpkin beer. Would like tyke more spice with the pumpkin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(bottle - 12 oz) Brown pour with a tan head. Mild pumpkin pie spiced aroma with a hint of chocolate and ginger. Flavor is light and standard pumpkin pie with a hint of chocolate and coffee at the end. Was kind of hoping for more of the porter itself.

Bottle. Black pour with a tall, foamy tan head. Lots of spices and pumpkin pie notes atop roasted malt in the aroma. Taste is burnt pumpkin pie, pumpkin pie spices, roasted malt, light chocolate and soft coffee notes. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more roasted malt, pumpkin pie spice, soft coffee and light chocolate.

Super awesome. Little bit of cinnamon spice. Complex taste. Dark and smooth taste. Was A-Mazing with their cinnamon bread pudding. Could have drank more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very pumpkin. Notsomuch porter. As a result, unbalanced. As a pumpkin ale, enjoyable, but it’s hard to discern the base beer.

great pumpkin taste without the all spice flavor. Pours a nice lacy darkness. Awesome glass appearance.

A little late on this, sorry. Obviously, reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown color with a decent one finger white to off white foamy head that when it dissipated there was a pretty nice looking foamy lacing drastically sticking very nicely to the sides of the glass. The smell had a pretty good blend of spiced pumpkin, ginger, allspice and a light dose of cinnamon. Once it starts to warm, there’s a nice roasty change coming through. The taste was mainly sweet and roasty with a slight spice underneath through all of the previously mentioned flavors. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation finishes fairly easy. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Porter for the Autumn season. This could definitely stand up against the anti - inbev people.
