Draft at ebp. Pours black with ruby bright edges. Loose creamy tan head. Super soft chocolate and pie spice nose. Like, you think you have a cold, it’s so faint. Creamy medium body with flabby carb. Toasty chocolatey mid palate with gentle pie spice. Mild sweet finish. This beer is flawless, so it is tough to justify such a low score, but there’s seriously nothing going on here and this style is usually a D-9 Cat bulldozer of flavor.

Tap at mellow mushroom. Pours dark and head persists. Nose is cinnamon and ginger. Acrid mouthfeel after a medium body start. Tastes of a good cinnamon and nutmeg fall beer. Would be good when its cold out. Not bad sirs. ---Rated via my mouth

Pours dark unclear roasted chestnut with a big orange beige creamy head. Aroma brings the pumpkin spices and maple syrup, and some sweet fall pumpkin. Flavor brings some toasted pumpkin malt notes and subtle maple syrup, sweet but balanced and lighter bodied.

Pours black with a brown head and aroma of spices and pumpkin. Taste is of spices up front, cinnamon and nutmeg, with pumpkin and roasted malt leading to a dry, fall spice finish. Solid fall brew, enjoyable

From the 12 fl. oz stubby bottle marked 11:08-Aug 01 13. The pour is highly attractive with a chestnut brown color and ruby red hues leading up to a lingering silky beige head. The aroma begins with pumpkin spices, a touch of maple syrup, and a touch of coffee. The body was a lot thinner than I might have expected. The taste evolved. At first I got the pumpkin spices and malty character but as I finished off the glass the coffee character associate with Porters tended to present itself more.

Bottle from BevMo. Fairly dark in color. Nicely spiced nose with a subltle hint of roastiness. Spices dominated up front. Some roasted coffee follows it up. Finish is strong coffee bitterness. A little in the mouthfeel department, but still tasty.

Bottle from Wegman’s leesburg. Pours black with a very thin brown head. Leaves a little lacing in the glass. Not feeling that artificial pumpkin vibe that smells like burning hair. there’s some solid roast on the tongue but not much of the pumpkin. has a bit of an aftertaste that I’m not digging. Meh!

Bottle at home in CT. pours clear, dark brown with a quickly fading tan foam head. The aroma has cinnamon, all spice, ripe pumpkin. Light to medium sweet flavor, simple dark malts, some chocolate, more seasonal spices. Light to medium bodied with fine, fizzy carbonation. Sweet finish, minimal bitterness, some chalky cocoa, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg. Tasty beer.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a dark, cola like color with a small and short lived tan head. The nose has a bit of roasted pumpkin and light spice. The spices stay light on the tongue with a bit of roasted malt, cooked pumpkin, mineral, and slight earthy notes. Generally light in the flavor department. Medium bodied with a short to medium finish. Ho-hum as a pumpkin and a porter.
