Out of Your Gourd Pumpkin Porter is dark chestnut brown in color and is made with pureed pumpkin. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger are added to the whirlpool and maple syrup is added during fermentation. Lightly hopped with Northern Brewer hops, Pumpkin Porter is a full-bodied, rich and roasty porter perfect for all things fall – eating turkey, watching football or drinking with your buddies around a bonfire.

12oz bottle pours with a nice rich looking mahogany body that has gold to copper edges and supports a tan head. The modest aroma offers up some dark roasted malts, burnt malts and then a mild pumpkin and spice sensation. The taste starts with a nice yet slim nugget of pumpkin and then it quickly picks up cinnamon to nutmeg spices before a hit of dark roasted malts and burnt malts takes this to midway and into the roasty finish. Darn nice stuff.

Bottle. Dark brown with a thin head. Aroma is pumpkin and some spice. Flavour is mostly cinnamon and nutmeg, a little watery pumpkin. Overall a bit watery, and strange.

Very dark brown with an inch of tan head. Aroma is mildly earthy and spicy, with standard pumpkin spices. Taste is the same, though even more muted, with a slight baking cocoa bitter-sweetness. $3/22oz

Bottle poured a clear deep dark brown hue w/ a small tan head diminishing to a thin ring w/ nice lacing. Big spicy aromas. Initial flavor is a light sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish. Tastes are cinnamon, nutmeg, squash, coke-a-cola, and roasted malt. Medium bodied, watery mouthfeel, avg carbonation, and spices linger in the finish.

Oddly-shaped 12 oz bottle. The pour is dark reddish brown, minimal white head, and no lace. The aroma is pumpkin right at the start, then the nutmeg takes over, followed by just a touch of cinnamon. I'd almost expect a little more of a cocoa or coffee piece because it's a porter, but it's not there. The flavor isn't as pumpkin-oriented as the scent, and then the nutmeg just dominates. A touch of cinnamon in the finish, and it fades quickly. I wish the flavors hung around a bit more, and that the body was thicker ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle- Pours dark brown to black with a thin tan head that reduces almost immediately leaving a collar. Aroma right off the bat is pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg, not really getting the maple syrup. The taste is pumpkin, fairly bitter, roasted malts, if there is any maple it is overpowered by the over dosage of hops. Not bad, I prefer my pumpkin ales with less of a roasted porter taste, and not so much bitterness.

Clear brown pour with garnet highlights and ring of light tan head. A little more ’pumpkin’ character than the box carr. Nutmeg and molasses flavor. A twinge of ginger spiciness on the finish. Pretty good actually.

Sweet, floral, spicy aroma with some new Converse Chuck Taylor rubber smell. Good, squat yoked bottle. Smallish, quickly-dissipating tan head, bubbles cling to the side of the glass when you swirl, and you can just see through the brew. Not as sweet as it smells, dry nutmeg/allspice flavors over mild roast. Grassy at times when cold, medicinal tones here and there. Mouthy, with a crisp spice/effervescence at the end. Mild ale and Dentyne aftertaste. Overall not bad, one of the better pumpkin ales this year for me. ABC, Betton.

Weird shaped 12 Oz bottle, love it. Redmonds. Black, big old tan/cream head, great lacing. Nice combo of roast malt and pumpkin in the aroma, some spice - cinnamon, nutmeg and syrup too. Flavour is a little flat, pumpkin is there, though its a bit watery. Thin body and absolutely no carbonation, probably the flattest beer ive ever had. Finish is sweet fruitiness and a weird out of place blast of alcohol. Not great.
