Out of Your Gourd Pumpkin Porter is dark chestnut brown in color and is made with pureed pumpkin. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger are added to the whirlpool and maple syrup is added during fermentation. Lightly hopped with Northern Brewer hops, Pumpkin Porter is a full-bodied, rich and roasty porter perfect for all things fall – eating turkey, watching football or drinking with your buddies around a bonfire.

Botte. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is very roasty, sweet spices, vanilla, coffee. Taste is roasty, tobacco, pumpkin, good spice to it. Overall, this is really good.

A little late on this, sorry. Obviously, reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown color with a decent one finger white to off white foamy head that when it dissipated there was a pretty nice looking foamy lacing drastically sticking very nicely to the sides of the glass. The smell had a pretty good blend of spiced pumpkin, ginger, allspice and a light dose of cinnamon. Once it starts to warm, there’s a nice roasty change coming through. The taste was mainly sweet and roasty with a slight spice underneath through all of the previously mentioned flavors. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation finishes fairly easy. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Porter for the Autumn season. This could definitely stand up against the anti - inbev people.

Bottle big thanks to Phatdog1! Poured a dark brown/black with a thin khaki top. Taste of pumpkin, nutmeg, spice, and roasted malt. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. Delicious brew!

Bottle:   Deep brown, small to moderate frothy beige head, little lacing.   Spicy nose, nutmeg, allspice, a touch of ginger.   Spicy start, similar to what the nose suggests.   Pale roasted malts.   Not all that big or heavy.   Pretty much what I expected for Redhook.   Still, the spices are stronger than your average pedestrian Pumpkin Porter.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft spicy finish.   Nutmeg, ginger, with soft roasted malts.   Respectable.

Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Dark brown with a short-lived, off-white head. Spicy pumpkin, cinnamon and ginger warmth, before some sweetness and lingering, roasty finish. Good.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Opaque, brown-black with a small tan head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and mild pie spices. Taste of roasted malt, bitter nutmeg, cloves, caramel, aluminum and that bitter squash chemical that I abhor. Medium/light body and medium/high carbonation. This beer needs to warm thoroughly to be worth drinking. The nasty squash flavor dissipates with time. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a rich, opaque dark chocolate brown with a fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma has notes of chocolate, roast malt, pumpkin, and quality coffee. Flavor does not disappoint, providing nice coffee, chocolate and spiced pumpkin notes with a smoky hint. Texture is firm, smooth and rather fizzy. Porter that pumpkin, and happy wherever holiday you celebrate!

Aroma: Spiced, a little malty (chocolate, sweet, bread). Flavor: Spice, and sweet, chocolate/roasted malt. I think there’s a little flavor from the pumpkin.

Had off tap at Fado iris pub in downtown Seattle. Having just had Alaskan porter the day before, this one couldn’t compare. Lacking body in the middle and I had to search hard for any pumpkin or spiced flavor.
