COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Available Nationwide

Bottle. Pours very slightly hazy and gold, some amber, with a small white head. Slight orange on the nose, some citrusy hops, sugar, and caramel. Bitter grassy flavor with some piney hops, and a bit of brown sugar and biscuit at the end. Crisp and medium-bodied. Not bad.

Gold pour with a nice white head. Aroma has some dried lemon peel, stale caramel malt and maybe a hint of hops. Flavor has a lemon/sour orange note that I enjoyed. Lightly yeasty, lightly hoppy.

Not much here. Was really expecting something decent. Not sure if even being ice cold (think Old Mil) could help this. Wouldn’t serve it as a cheap beer at a cookout!

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with white head. Aroma of nuts and grass. Flavor is light of yeast, grains, and grass. Light body with a crisp finish. It didn’t leave much of an impression, but I’d have it while watching the World Cup again.

ROGUE (2099) - Newark, Delaware, USA - JUL 15, 2010
12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, yellow body with a smallish, fizzly, white head. The aroma is corn and wheat. The flavor is very similar. The corn and wheat stand out and this tastes a whole lot like a macro lager. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not much to it.

(12 oz bottle). Pours straw yellow with nice chunky white head. Aroma of lemon, grass, dough. Taste is semi sweet and then a little hoppiness toward the middle/back of the tongue. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finish is an unbalanced mild bitterness.

12 oz. bottle- Pours pale golden with a nice creamy head with tons of tiny little bubbles and beautiful carbonation bubbles floating to the surface, lacework is nonexistent. Aroma is crisp clean hops and some grain. The flavor is sweet mellow and somewhat grainy, a little hops come through as well. I was not expecting much from this brew, but if you rate it for what it is, it’s actually not bad, good session brew.

drpimento (2267) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Served with a fine white head and no lace. color was a clear gold amber. Aroma was hoppy, malty, and beery. Flavor was similar with hops coming out with some floral characteristics. Body was good but carbonation was a tad flat. Finsh was nice with hints of salt, acid, & bitterness. Could do worse.

Tap at BJ’s Hurst. Clear gold color. Little head to speak of. Smells cold. I’m not pulling much aroma here. Tastes dry and grainy. Some light metallic notes that fade into a lingering bitter aftertaste. Not much here.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, opened 6/8/10. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a large frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops and caramel. The taste is caramel, green apple, some toasty notes and a faintly grassy finish. Medium bodied.
