COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Aroma is sweet malt and mild floral hop. Appearance is apricot yellow, clear w small tan head. Taste is mild sweet malt forward. Hops bitterness finishes off, very little aroma hopping. Some mild apricot pear fruitiness. Palate is medium. A crisp beer with decent body. Tries to finish with hop bitterness and aroma but just not there. Overall not bad but in need of more hops bitterness and could also use more aroma hopping. Closer to a Kolsch IMO. That said still a decent beer that is quite drinkable.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of straw and light grain. Taste is sweet with a slightly bitter offset that helps balance the sweetness. Easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale straw colour with a tight white head. The aroma is fairly clean and slightly crackery with a touch of soft zesty hoppiness. Clean and fresh although it could always be hoppier. A little bit of light straw malt flavour. Simple if decent.

Caramel and some flowery hops in the aroma. Flavor is somewhat sweet with some bittering hops at the end. Somewhat watery finish. Nothing special, but if you’re looking for a cold beer on a hot day, this would be a decent choice.

355mL thanks to a friend of biggirlpanties. Pours a clear golden with a Suddy white head. Quick retention. Nose is canned pineapple, sugar cube. Taste is bland, cardboardy, tangy, papery. Powdery. Metallic. Eh.

Tasted from a cool 12oz bottle into nucleated pint glass. It poured a clear golden color with sudsy white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. Very mild aromas of grass, pils malt, marshmallow sweetness, light black pepper yeast phenols, very faint spicy noble Saaz hops. Nearly neutral flavor as well, balanced but subtle malt sweetness and hops bitterness. Light-medium body, a little fuller mouthfeel than your average pale lager. A little grainy with some mineral hardness, but that’s true-to-style. Crisp and refreshing lager snap, dry finish. Not as smooth as classic German examples, but better by far than American macro light lagers.

Gold in color with minimal head. Slight funky farm aroma. Not getting anything else. Flavor is just this side of sweet. It’s well balanced and refreshing, just not a lot of flavor overall. Clean finish.

12 ounce bottle, drank straight from it while cooking out. Tastes like a classic pilsner, nothing out of this world, refreshing by the grill.

Unremarkable taste. Nice light beer, would go will for a bbq. No hop taste, plain malts permeate a frothy end.
