COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pilsener. The appearance was a soft golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. There was barely any lacing. The smell had a slight sweet corn to it. The taste followed the nose. On the palate, this one sat pretty light and came across pretty sessionable. The carbonation was somewhat sharp. Overall, decent pilsener. It does the trick as a pilsener but it’s not a standout.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light crisp palate. Minerals. Clean malt but not that lagerish. Forensic trace of hops. Light floral note. Crisp finish. Fine but really needs another dimension.

SDalkoholic (2156) - Linda Vista, California, USA - SEP 24, 2013
Bottle from Bobar: Created a fluffy layer of foamed head while the liquid was a sparkling golden blonde. There’s a nice balance of grassy hops and malts that smell good considering this is a pilsner style. The drink was simple, with a subtle flavor of grainy barley malt and a slight notice of European hops. This is a refreshing beer on a hot day near the end of summer in mid September.

09-AUG-2013, bottle @home, from Kvickly. Clear golden with sediments floating. Low white head that laces a bit. Aroma is toast and hops. Hops are not very citric but more earthy or tobaco’ish. Taste the same. Some malty sweetness. Medium body and carbonation. Short, slightly bitter and somewhat fruity finish. Fine lager.
