COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Available Nationwide

Mild bready aroma. Bright yellow with a touch of amber with a faint haze. Distinct Czech hops that grab you at first but soon mellows. feels zesty and yet finishes on the creamy side. Mild sourness but does finish clean for the most part. Very drinkable and not heavy feeling.

Light and crisp and kind of an pear juice quality going on. Might be OK with food, but no more so than ice water. Meh.

Not a bad beer .. no fresh Pilsner Urquell but better than the PU that is too old/light struck in the green bottles. Unoffensive American style lager.

Golden straw pour. Thin force-carbonated head. Aroma of biscuits and apple. Light malty character with very little hops. Could use some bitterness or hop flavor beyond just enough to balance. As a helles or vienna I would probably like this a good bit more. No problematic flaws. Ultimately a pretty good sessionable lager.

Pours a crystal-clear straw color, aroma is light and crisp. Flavor is mild, with a good hint of those saaz hops. Pretty solid. Nothing special, but not bad at all.

It was ok, but good for a plain pils. It is true to style, dry grainy pils yeastiness with straw hay color taste and aroma. One dimensional and plain but seems to be the style overall

Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma of grass and spice. Taste is lightly sweet slightly caramel malt with a medium bitter spicy hop finish. Surprisingly decent.

Kind of bitter for a pilsner in my opinion. A little strong also. Interesting to day the least

Clear Yellow, Light and Quickly Dissipating Head. Mellow and nothing to taste. Besides light sweet malty aftertaste there is nothing else going on. Hops? What hops? No bitterness at all... Easy to drink and enjoy on a hot day but is nothing special and forgettable.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2012 Light golden color, tall fizzy head. Aroma is hardly noticable. Light body. To me, it tastes like a cross between a Czech pils and an American pale ale. A good session beer, but nothing to write home about.
