3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
WA Belgianfest. Pours red brown with a thin head. Aromas of fresh raspberries, sugar, and yeast. Smells like summer. Tastes much the same, wheat and raspberry. Admit I judged this one on its Redhook label and came away pleasantly surprised.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
1/23/10 at Seattle Belgianfest. Aroma is raspberry forward, low yeast character, yummy but a touch artificial. Appearance is hazy dark brown with a well maintained cream colored head. Flavor abounds with raspberry candy, chocolate and bubblegum, but never gets too sweet. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with a medium carb texture, never spritzy. Overall, impressive that this never gets overly rich with all those candy notes.
