2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Rating #2778)

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
My first rating from the Beerhive. Not exactly the nest beer, but anyway. Pours a light golden color with a nice medium white head. The aroma was light glue-like malts, light hops. The flavor was simple and decent; lots of sweet malts, sort of glue-like. Watery and easygoing. Not bad.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle:Slim chance? Wow, that’s a setup. Light flavor and hop for low calories? Novel! Light husky malts and a crisp fairly bright hop note. Malty body, thin finish. There’s a slim chance I’ll drink it again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
TAP: clear yellow pour, minimal head. Mild wheat/grain nose, no body to speak of. Not bad, but not good either.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Binny’s beverage Depot In Orland Park, Illinois: It seems from the description ("a crisp, refreshing ale without the extra calories") that this is bland by design. Clear yellow/gold in body, it’s capped by a short-lived little head. No lace. The light aroma is honeyed grainy malt, and that’s what it tastes like, too. There’s a dash of grassy bitterness at the end that lingers a while. Okay for a lawnmower brew.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled on 4/21/2009. This light/blond ale pours a medium yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and grassy, touch of sweetness. A light bodied blonde ale, designed as a light beer. The malts are grassy, fruity and slightly sweet. The hops are slightly spicy and grassy. The description of this beer as a light blond ale fits this beer fairly well. It has some flavors but they are so light it’s hard to figure out if this beer is good or bad. It’s a hot day here so it doesn’t taste all that bad. Kinda fizzy, but light and refreshing. If you want something low in alcohol that still has some flavor this might be a good choice. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is crisp and dry. Rather nice really. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tallahassee, Fl. - Publix Supermarkets - 12 oz bottle.Pours a slightly murky medium golden with a bit of a glint and a slight white head. Sweet aroma with hints of distant fruit and some buttery notes. Refreshing flavor with some of the same buttery notes, muted citrus, and just a hint of cereal. Crisp mouthfeel. Not a bad summer refresher.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle courtesy of the Binnys Singles Rack (Orland Park, IL). Pours a nearly clear golden hue, light, well carbonated, small white bubbly head that dies to a film eventually, light lacing. Aromas are some citrusy lemon, adjuncty malts are a bit harsh and corny, faint pale, lemon juice, cereal malts. Initial is light bodied enough, with a big watery lemonade feel, faint cereal and corny malts, with a mellow sweetness but a funny watery lemonade tart note. Finish dies out hard, strangely, with little remaining on the palate at all which is surprising given the lemony citrus that you’d think might stick around. Largely water, with light lemon juice and weak malt. Perhaps I’m being hard on this, but this beer is simply a macro made up to convince you it isn’t.. which loses even more points with me.
