COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Well this one is not that good. Very clear gold pour with a small white head. Aroma is very grainy and malty...but in the macro brewed style. Flavor is off, weak, grainy, some malt and some odd hops. No good.

Bottle. This is my favorite summer brew by far. Poured a clear gold with a one finger sparse white head. Aroma of malt and citrus. Flavor is light and crisp malt. Great summer brew.

The use of organic rye is inspired, but the session nature of the beer turns it into a slightly improved domestic.

Bottled: not that good, but decent. Malty and defintly a summer beer. Sweet a little bit too. Wow...not the best but good now.

Clear appearance, limited head with basically no lacing. Got this beer ice cold and it was not so appealing - let it warm up a bit and really got some of the rye flavored undertones. Not sure how to describe but similar to other rye beers I have tried. Overall an OK beer to try - I assume a very basic example of a rye beer.

Clear yellow amber with no head. Sweet rye bread aroma and taste with some sweet malty notes.

Sampled at Flour City Brewers’ Fest, Rochester NY. AU15/08.

App.: Clear golden, tiny white head. Aroma: Wheat and grass, light fruits, slightly tangy. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: Grains, wheat, grass, light fruits including peaches/apricots; slightly off-dry with no bitterness.

Light but drinkable, a decent patio beer.

Bottle - Golden color. Small white head that didn’t last long. No lacing. No noticable aroma. Description says this is unfiltered. Never would have guessed that by drinking it. No sign of rye to me. Not bad, but certainly not good. Agree that this is a beer best enjoyed while hanging with the neighbors in the driveway.
